Restaurant booth seating trends

Having now been working in the contract furniture business for over 30 years, we have established a reputation for supplying high-quality, upholstery booth seating furniture to a number of different industries, especially both the in leisure and hospitality trades.

We have worked with countless clients providing interior design, fit-out and refurbishment services for bars, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs around the country and have found that there is always a high demand for fixed seating, and in particular booth seating. Having created and installed numerous booth seating options such as back-to-back, straight length and half-circle to name just a few, a trending pattern is emerging so we thought we would put together a helpful guide on which booth seating will be popular this coming winter and heading into 2015.

L-Shaped Booth Seating

Also referred as L-Bay seating, L-Shaped booth seating is rapidly becoming an ever-popular choice due to its versatility. Not only found in restaurants, this type of style is commonly found in home kitchens because it occupies less room than free standing furniture because it’s fitted into the wall. With the ability to seat between 6-8 customers depending on size, the seating maximise floor space by not interfering with the traffic flow meaning customers and workers can freely move around.

Three-Quarter Booth Seating

Whilst U-Shape booth seating has their advantages, they can be hard to navigate in and around which is why more and more restaurants are turning to three-quarter booth is seating. Three-quarter circle booths make a great addition in any restaurant; they provide extra comfort, privacy and more intimate surroundings for larger groups, families and business meetings. With the option of adding a free-standing chair, corner booth seating can accommodate for more people.

They also fulfil much needed potential space by filling hidden and left out corners in the restaurant. Why not visit our guide on what round booth seating can bring to your restaurant for more information.

Split Back Straight Length Booth Seating

Most commonly found on straight length booth seating, incorporating a split back style has now become all the range. Split Back booth seating creates a strong visual statement upon first contact and is a very effective way of combining different fabrics in different colours to match the decor of your restaurant or simply as a fashion statement that makes it stand out from the rest. Don’t be surprised if you come across split back booth seating the next time you’re dining out.
