The Project
Dear Sailor, inspired by the Japanese prohibition & secret underground jazz cafes, this design reflects the dynamic & atmospheric character of those iconic spaces.
Telegraph were delighted to work with AXI Studio on this brand new luxurious bar concept in the heart of Manchester city centre.
We created bespoke pouffes upholstered in durable Ultraleather, complete with copper effect base plinths which match the table tops, creating a warm, inviting & intimate experience.

The tables were made with Homapal metal effect laminates in copper, for a reflective effect & to create a sense of opulence. The timber edging also adds durability and glamour.
The Giotto stool was chosen for it’s clean lines, the inside of the backrest is shaped and inclined for greater comfort & it’s enveloping shape also gives support to the arms, for a more relaxed seat.
Woven outdoor furniture adds texture & warmth to the overall concept enabling guests to comfortably relax in the enclosed outside area, enjoy a signature cocktail or two, & watch the world go by, immersed in the soul of this mysterious bar.
