The Project

The former historic Mitre pub was Oxford’s oldest pub. Saved from rack & ruin, it’s original features, have been restored into an impressive conversion which has created a sophisticated but homely interior creating cosy, private nooks and corners, brimming with characterful charm.

Telegraph are delighted to share Gusto’s new look, with stunning new and refurbished furniture bringing a refined yet relaxed air to the Oxford branch.

Telegraph Furniture worked closely with Keane Brands to capture the opulent yet laid back energy of Gusto. On the side chairs, rich abstract Arley House velvets are complimented beautifully by brass feet caps and genuine leather seat pads, ensuring style and durability.

We provided Carrara marble tabletops with a hardwood edge creating opulence & durability. Ash veneer tabletops, edged in satin brass were also created for a more sumptuous feel. The character oak tops with clear matt lacquer were created to mimic the rustic beauty of the original building & beams within.
